Buddy's Busted Wing....

Gavin had his follow up today with the pediatric orthopedist.  His Sprengel's Deformity (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprengel%27s_deformity) is pretty stable, save for the slight decrease in his range of motion since last year.

At last check,  there was concern that he also had a commonly associated issue with some cervical fusion but it appears this time that's not the case.  This is HUGE because the fusion puts the kids at greater risk for neck injury. It's one of the few real dangers of the anomaly that aren't simply cosmetic. We were advised to never let him play contact sports but this xray didn't show that this time,  possibly because of his positioning (he was much less wiggly this time).

So grateful his case is so mild.  They're are so many frightening things associated with it that we do not have to worry about!
