Maddie's teacher does this "Shining Star Week" thing with all the kids, intended to be their birthday weeks but since Maddie's is in the summer we picked a random week together at the beginning of the year that was open and well, here we are!
The kids get to have special treats brought to class, parents can visit, they get to choose their classroom chores and wear the coveted crown! Their pics are displayed in the hall in front of the class....it's totally a big deal. Oh, and she just had to wear a "tutu" every day. But of course.
On an unrelated note, I'm starting to really notice the change in Maddie's face, especially in some recent photos (these especially!)....she's going from a full-faced toddler to a little girl in her features. I think she's so beautiful but *sigh* it's kinda sad.
We went to Maddie's school that Friday (which happened to be their Field Day) and got to talk all about our girl...
