We enjoyed the park...
We supported our local FGCU university who in only their second year of tournament eligibility went to the Elite 8!! It was super exciting for our little university which now resides in it's newly named town, "Dunk City"!
We had to see the creepy bunny at Bass Pro Shops...I mean, what childhood is complete without at least one tearful guy-in-suit photo?! No tears this year, but I was a little freaked out. You can see his eyes, for the love of all.....
Side Note: Maddie found one the eggs she colored and carried it around. All. Night. She named it Ka-Ka. I'm not sure if I'm disturbed she adopted a hard-boiled egg or touched that she fell in love with one.
NOTE THE EGG, laying gently in her hands.
Garret had the week off but I had to work (boo). He did, however bring the kiddos to the office. Maddie did her usual weigh herself and perform exams on anyone that would sit still. In this case, poor Gavin was her "patient".
Garret and I went to see Pat Benetar (it was my Christmas gift). It was a-mah-zing! Seriously one of my bucket list items. I'm an 80's dork and she was always one of my favorites!! She still sounded phenomenal and I was kinda inspired (and surprised) to learn she and her guitarist husband have been married for 35 years! They were sweet and it was even more romantic when she sang "We Belong", my fave!
There was the obligatory egg coloring and bunny ear crafting...
And what Spring Break would be complete without a trip to the beach?! We met some friends and their kiddos on a gorgeous day! So much fun! Baby G slept the whole time but came out just in time for a quick photo!
We also went to the girls' school for their Spring Festival. Now this is a cute bunny....
I can't get over how chunky my teensy-weensy baby is!! The boy never met a meal he didn't like! He spent his Spring Break, um, eating! I stopped counting chins after four.....
And....I bought a cheap table off of Craig's List. Solid Wood, kinda worn...just what I wanted, only I didn't love the color. Sooooo, we sanded and stained it and I am in LOVE! Feeling rather proud of myself....
It was really a great week! Next year I'll take off too so we can maybe leave town or something fab but I have to admit, for a "staycation" it was pretty perfect!
