Gizmo's first birthday

Why yes, yes I did throw my dog a party. Mind you, no guests arrived because Maddie had the poops but a party was had, complete with homemade doggy treats, a pupcake and party decorations.

And to think,  I don't even like dogs that much....

What an addition this furball has been....minus the constant chewing of my shoes and undies, he's pretty great.  He has made this non dog person a full on party for a friggin dog....person.

Maddie's a millionaire!

This girl right here read one MILLION words....at school. We alllll know it's waaaaay more than that if you include what she reads at home. But....at school, she gets a fancy medal and certificate so, at our house, if you kick butt, you get to do something fun. And what does this Florida girl wanna do?? Ice skate, duh.

So proud of my girl....

Little Wave graduation

Welp...it happened. He's officially going to Kindergarten and my momma heart can barely stand it! This program has been ahhhhhhhmazing for my wiggly class clown. He's learned so much (he can read! and sit still-ish!) and has made his lifelong best teacher friend in Miss Hollan as well as some buds his own age! Oh...and his first crush! Graysen Zimmer.....wonder if it'll last through a whole new slew of ladies.....

I so adore this guy. I couldn't help but see him....just like this, ok, maybe a little bigger.... as an 18 year old, walking that stage with those dimples smiling at us, obnoxiously waving with a tear in my eye.

Easter 2018

Easter was pretty low key this year....neighborhood egg coloring, a couple of local church egg hunts and a small family lunch gathering on the day itself. Small, relaxed...just the way Mamma likes it these days!

It also happened to be April Fool's Day...well, joke's on me...these fake roaches sprung up all over the place, giving me a mini heart attack.every.time. Who's the real fool??

And, since we were all together, we celebrated Tamra's Birthday too!

St Patrick's day

As always...we "celebrated" Caleb's Birthday. 13. He would be a teenager. It never gets easier...that feeling of being robbed of someone. It's so important though to keep his memory alive for the kids who never even got to know their cousin.

I made a yummy meal, traditional Irish potato soup and reubens!
Then we went to hang out with some buds while the kids stayed and played with Bella.
I'm not Irish but any excuse to have a little adult time!
