Basketball Camp!

So we've determined Miss Thang ain't the most athletic of kiddos...I mean, smart as a whip, funny, musically inclined by not so sporty. That said, we heart Mr. Scott, who runs the great basketball camp every year so....school's out, she's bored.....why not?

She actually had a blast and, by all accounts, kept everyone pretty "entertained". Is she a future baller? Nah. But, she can now run and dribble without falling.

An especially nice day at the beach....

We go to the beach so often I sometimes think I take it for granted (I can hear the collective gasps from our northern counterparts...). That said, I truly relished in our most recent excursion....great weather, new scenery (we went to Sanibel instead of the usual Ft. Myers Beach), the kids were well-behaved (again...gasps) and the water was, well, blue (it tends to be brownish...ick). An all around perfect day....with my favorite people on the planet.

First grade, here she comes (you've been warned!)

Welp, my baby is officially going to big kid school *sigh*. The baby face just disappears with each passing day. And it' ok, I mean great even that I get to witness this awesome child growing and becoming an amazing human but, alas, there's that psycho Mom thing that wants to put a Bible on her head and try to force little-kid-ness for juuuust a little longer....

So Miss Thang couldn't be bothered to cease donut eating (although, in her defense, it WAS National Donut Day) but Gavin was on point...I usually can't even BRIBE that one to take a photo! I cannot handle the picture below...her disdain is palpable....
