And the big boy too...

We can't discuss one of my boys' birthdays without bringing up the other (have I mentioned how much I LOVE having Christmas, then Gavin's Birthday then Garret's one right after the other??). Luckily, my boys are fairly low maintenance so the big one just wanted a nice day of boating, frozen cocktails and a German meal. Done, done and done!

We stopped at this great little island and grilled out and had cocktails (virgin for the littles, naturally)

It was nice...we could kind of relax and the kids just ran around...there were several areas of shallow water so they could just play and  find shells.

 Have Margaritaville, will travel....

And, on our way back (this never gets old!)...

 Ain't he cute?!

And...what better way to end a birthday than with a German meal and apple strudel, courtesy of my mom and sister?? I can safely say he was a happy fella...
Happy Birthday to my main squeeze!

The "baby" is 2!

What did this sweet baby boy ask to do on his birthday? "Da Beach!". He may or may not have also mentioned something about Chuck E. Cheese's but well, ew. Of the two, the beach wins. Every.Time.

I think he was happy with the choice....

The girls weren't complaining either...

And, if you're going to the beach and there's a celebration (or heck, if not), you're getting a Love Boat ice cream birthday serenade...

And, when asked what kid of party he wanted? "Elmo!" It's Elmo everything, all day, every day. Maddie was never in to Sesame Street so I was pretty excited to try some new stuff...

Since Gavs has lots of girlfriends...I mean friends that are girls cause, well, he's never dating and living in my basement until he's forty...we made an Abby Cadabby dress up station. It was a hit!

I am no artiste, so this is my best felt Elmo face...

My mom and sister got this sand table as his gift and the kids LOVED it! I put little rubber duckies for the kids to fish out and they played in the sand....occupied them for hours!

We decided on Lakes Park this time...I'm a home party kinda girl but I just feel more stressed cleaning and getting ready and then cleaning some more that a nice disposable, go home to a clean house situation sounded reeeeaaaalllly nice....so we told everyone to bring scooters/bikes etc and I'm so glad they did cause it kept the bigs from getting too bored at the "baby" party!

Ok, so I find it impossible to get a photo of my TWO kids..this was interesting to say the least!

I still can't believe he's two. I suppose it's the whole second child thing...they seem to do everything faster, sooner. Wild and active as he is, his temperament is so sweet and silly, I hope it doesn't go by too fast...Mommy needs more time to inhale every second.

Happy 2nd Birthday Baby Boy!!!!!!!
